As a private physician, I take the time to provide individualized and personal medical care. Since I do not have a direct contract with the Austrian public health insurance providers, medical services are paid for privately at the time of your visit.
You will receive an invoice that can be submitted to your health insurance provider for reimbursement. The amount reimbursed depends on the type of service provided and the regulations of your respective insurance company.
Many private health insurance plans also cover a substantial portion of the remaining costs, often reimbursing 80–100% of private medical fees.
Preventive Health Check-Up
The statutory preventive health examination (“Vorsorgeuntersuchung”) is billed directly to your health insurance provider. Therefore, no additional costs arise for you for this service.
Prescriptions and Referrals
Prescriptions issued in my practice can be redeemed at pharmacies in the same way as prescriptions from contracted physicians.
Referrals to specialists, radiology institutes, laboratories, and other healthcare providers are also fully accepted.
